This Mk3 Ford Transit was introduced to the UK in 2006 and continued until 2013. Seemingly innumerable variations of body types and styles were available, mounted on long-, medium- or short-wheelbase chassis. The Ford Transit was available with 2.2-, 2.4- and 3.2-litre turbodiesel engines, and a 2.3-litre petrol. Both front- or rear-wheel drive were available. All models were equipped with a 5- or 6-speed all synchromesh manual transmission, according to engine power output. ABS, Electronic Stability Program (ESP) Emergency Brake Assist (EBA) and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) were either standard or optional.
